How Morse Code Numbers Work

Morse code numbers follow a fixed five-symbol pattern.

Five-symbol pattern

Each Morse code number uses five dots or dashes.

1 to 5 add dots

Numbers 1 to 5 add one more dot each time.

6 to 9 start with dashes

Numbers 6 to 9 start with dashes and end with dots.

How to Write Multi-Digit Numbers

Convert each digit separately and place a space between digit patterns. 10 is written as 1 and 0, not as a single Morse symbol.
